Deadly Earthquake In Iraq-Iran Boarder Smashed More Than 200 Lives

Najarbandi: A powerful earthquake of 7.3 magnitude struck the border region between Iran and Iraq.
More than 200 people are dead and 1,700 injured as report says. This number can be increased, thinks the country-administration.
The quake's epicenter was across the border in Iraq, about 350 kilometers north of Baghdad. The deadly tremor crushed buildings in Darbandikhan, in northern Iraq. The highest number of casualties in the country occurred in the town of Sarpol-e Zahab, Kermanshah province, reported by the country's semi-official Mehr news agency. Shocks were also felt in Pakistan, Lebanon, Kuwait and Turkey.
The Prime Minister or Iraq instructed civil defense teams and health and aid agencies to do all that they can to provide assistance to the victims in affected regions. Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei also sent a message of condolence.
